You may not realise but when Ireland play Australia in international rugby union, they play for a cup called The Lansdowne Cup, which was named after the Club in the late 1980s. Whether the test series is in Ireland or Australia the cup travels with the winning team. As deputy Chairman of the Lansdowne Club Eamon Eastwood was bestowed the honour of presenting the Lansdowne Cup before the first of three test games at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on 9th June 2018.
