Creating Happy Snacking Moments
Tayto Crisps is a crisp and popcorn manufacturer in Ireland, founded by Joe Murphy in May 1954 who invented the first flavoured crisp production process. The first seasoned crisps produced were Cheese & Onion. Companies worldwide sought to buy the rights to Tayto’s technique. Tayto crisps are a cultural phenomenon throughout much of the Republic of Ireland, so much so that in November 2010, Tayto opened its own theme park called Tayto Park.
Tayto are proud to bring so many of Ireland’s favourite snacks and iconic brands to people all over world. When combined, their brands hold a market-leading position of almost 50% of the Irish snack food market. Individually, they all retain their own personality and we have enjoyed promoting these brands for many years. KP, Hunky Dory, Mccoys, King and Hula Hoops are some of the most popular brands we distribute under the Tayto umbrella.
