More specifically, we hand-pick and partner with overseas manufacturers to bring their brands alive in a new market. Our distribution is omnichannel, satisfying the curiosity and needs of a tech-savvy and informed consumer.
We list our brands in the largest supermarket chains, ensuring easy accessibility and value nationwide. Our independent retailers, including pubs, cafes, convenience stores and deli’s ensure our wider range of tastes are available for those discerning consumers.

WHERE DID WE COME FROM?

Like many businesses Taste started from very humble beginnings, from 50 cartons of chips in a bedroom to managing 10 iconic brands, national distribution in over 1400 stores and distribution partners in three different continents…. enjoy the story.

It all started when...
Taste’s CEO, Eamon, arrived as a backpacker in Australia for the Olympic Games in Sydney

Eamon took a gamble
He raffled a pack of Tayto Chips at a fundraiser and it went for $25!. Eamon knew then there was a market.

First shipment
Imports one pallet of Tayto’s chips and store them in his bedroom.

Taste Ireland was born
Taste Ireland was formed and introduced popular Irish food brands to Australia for the first time.

ONLINE STORE LAUNCHED
tasteireland.com.au was launched and the team began to grow.

Distribution grows
We developed our own retail distribution network of 250 stores Australia wide

14,000 subscribers
Eamon used the power of social media and other online marketing to grow the Taste network!

A new home
Taste relocated to a state-of-the-art warehouse in Botany, Sydney’s warehouse district next to the SeaPort and airport.

WOOLWORTHS
Taste launches a core range (Tayto’s, Barry’s Tea, Club Drinks) in Woolworths International Category.

COLES
Taste launches a core range (Tayto’s, Barry’s Tea, Club Drinks) into Coles.

GROWTH CONTINUES
Managing world-class UK and Irish brands in snacking, drinks, tea, biscuits, confectionery and condiment categories.

SOCIAL MEDIA EXPLODES
Our social following swelled to 50,ooo. Facebook and Instagram were excellent mediums to engage and communicate with our community and we developed exceptional engagement levels.

OUR RANGE GROWS
We increased our range in stores and are now stocked in over 1000 grocery stores and 200+ independent stores.

DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP
Taste partners with DHL, streamlining logistics even further.

Taste Food Distributors is formed
Company splits B2B & D2C to adequately represent the wholesale division. Taste Ireland is the direct online retail channel.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
OUR HQ
We are conveniently located in Sydney’s Warehouse District. In fact, we are in the same Suburb as the nation’s main sea freight port, Port Botany and the country’s largest airport, Kingston Smith.
This is supported by a strong road and rail infrastructure ensuring our goods are transported inbound and outbound as efficiently as possible. All our supporting businesses like 3PLs, Couriers, Quarantine Offices and Freight Forwarders are our neighbours which all contribute to a lean supply chain model. We warehouse, store, pick pack and dispatch from our Botany warehouse, while store core grocery lines in 3PL facilities as required for greater efficiencies.
